Student worker Kevin Emmert with poster being scanned for the exhibit. See the enlarged version of the poster.

This exhibit attempts to tell the story of an event that symbolically, at least, represented the beginning of a new effort on the part of American Protestant Evangelicals to proclaim the Christian gospel in their own country and around the world. The staff of the Archives hope the materials in the exhibit inform, inspire, educate, entertain.

For any of our visitors who want to learn more about the message that Youth for Christ evangelists were preaching and in particular are seeking the salvation offered by Jesus Christ, see our resources for spiritual help.

The exhibit was created by Paul Ericksen (website layout and design) and Bob Shuster (research and text). They were assisted by Wheaton College students working in the Archives, who did much of the scanning of documents and transcribing oral history interview excerpts: Kevin Emmert, Hannah Parish, and Susanne Osborne.
