The rally was filmed in black and white, and in color. (The later October Orchestra Hall rally and the 1946 Memorial Day Rally were also filmed.) The Soldier Field rally movie was apparently commissioned by Youth for Christ. None of the existing documents or literature from then explain how any of these films were used. However the films themselves, which were silent — in addition to showing the events — emphasize YFC’s evangelistic purpose and seek to involve the viewer in its plans to vigorously present the Gospel in the United States and around the world.
