Smyth, who be in charge of the group delegations that would be encouraged to attend from churches and institutions; Charles Riggs, who initially was in charge of counselor training and later would be administrative head of the crusade; Leighton Ford, who worked with the ministers supporting the crusade, Betty Lowry, who served as liaison to print and electronic media; and Bill Brown, who arranged for BGEA films to be shown at churches and assisted with the prayer program.
