"As this is our first broadcast..."
"Crawford Makes History"

This brief announcement appeared in Christian Life's November 1949 issue:

News item from the November 1949 issue of CHRISTIAN LIFE, p.36. Magazine is available in the Billy Graham Center Library.

On Sunday Evening, October 9, Percy Crawford made history.

His new television program, Youth on the March, was the first Gospel program to ever be televised on a national network. Originating over the ABC television network, the program was scheduled for 10:30 P.M. Sunday by most of the 11 initial outlets.

Restless Percy Crawford was not devoting his entire time to the new TV program. He still had to save some time for the presidency of The King's College, for his Philadelphia bookstore, his Pinebrook Bible Conference and his network radio program, the Young People's Church of the Air.
