The Archives has an extensive collection of clippings of press coverage of Billy Graham's and the BGEA's domestic and international crusades and other activities. Some of these are loose, dating back to 1932 when Graham was in his mid-teens. However, the vast majority document his evangelistic career, first with Youth for Christ from the mid-1940s, and then with the BGEA starting in 1950. Altogether the collection contains 842 scrapbooks, spanning the years 1945 to 1986. All of these have been microfilmed (black & white) to reduce wear on these large-format volumes. More importantly, they are available to researchers throughout the United States and the world by interlibrary loan. (In the past year-and-a-half the Archives has responded to forty-seven (47) inter-library loan requests for microfilm, sixty-percent of these for the BGEA scrapbooks microfilm.)
