In September 1980, the newly completed Billy Graham Center was dedicated on Wheaton College's campus. On that day on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) gave the building to Wheaton College. Billy Graham and Charles Malik (former president of the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly) presented the dedication messages. Graham's message captures his dreams for the Center and its impact in extending his own evangelistic ministry through the training and connections made possible at the College. As Graham said, "God forbid that the Archives should ever become objects of intellectual curiosity rather than forces of spiritual stimulation." Twenty-four years later we continue to be committed to having the Archives used as a resource for the living Church.
