| The Archives received material through a variety of sources. The BGEA, Africa Inland Mission, Slavic Gospel Association, Overseas Mission Fellowship, and Youth For Christ all sent more installments of their organizational papers. Newly acquired this year were the records International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES), whose papers were transferred from the Wheaton College Archives & Special Collections. Some donors found more letters, photos or papers related to previously-donated material and sent this new material to the Archives to more accurately help tell their story (i.e., the Fribergs Indonesian newsletters, World Evangelical Fellowship files of Waldron Scott from the 1970s, a letter of Ruth Courtney about her mission station in China in 1940). The BGC Archives is well known by other archives and institutions throughout the country and some material this year came via those connections as they passed on donations more fitting to our holdings. Material also came from those who searched the Internet to find information related to documents they had and wished to donate. After discovering the link to a related collection, they contacted the Archives regarding a future donation (photos of CIM headquarters and missionaries, Mountainbrook Camp memorabilia, 1977 and 1989 Budapest Crusade recordings, Percy Crawford and Young People's Church of the Air materials). |
