The staff (including Bob seen in the reflection taking the picture) during their planning day in November, as they review the past year, anticipate opportunities in 2009 and strategically set goals for the coming year.

As we step into this new year, here are some of the projects we're going to focus on...

...Continuing to assist the BGEA in their efforts to preserve and care for the papers of Billy Graham.

...Launching the Archives next online exhibit, highlighting Billy Graham's Christ for Greater Los Angeles Campaign in 1949 and opening on September 25, the 60th anniversary of the event that brought Graham into the national spotlight. The exhibit will expand daily as digital reproductions of each day's audio recordings are added to the Web site.

...Testing database software as a possible implementation for developing an online image database.

...Implementing the new 10-year acquisition plan by seeking donations that focus on evangelism and missions in Latin America.

...Holding the second Annual Archives Lecture featuring a scholar who speaks about their topic of interest as it intersected with their research using the Archives collections.

...Continuing the ongoing archival task of arranging and describing accessions into new or updated collections to make them available for researchers in the Manuscript Reading Room, and at the descriptive level on the Archives Web site; continuing as able to digitize films and audio tapes to maintain the regular transfer of these materials into their new format.

...Continuing to discuss with the BGEA's TV & Events Department the possible opening of access for the Archives to the BGEA's extensive film and video database.
