The exhibit was opened on November 1st, with all posters reproduced to full-screen size and some further enlarged to facilitate reading and appreciation of graphic details. “Thank you for posting this article on the Internet. Reading this article-- an [oral history] interview--brought back many warm memories. My father was a Christian & Missionary Alliance pastor for at least 47 years and now deceased. Many of the stories related in this interview I had also heard from my own father many years ago. What a joy to read this article. Many Thanks!”

E-mail referring to the audio files of the interviews of Merrill Dunlop in Collection 50 that the Archives staff put online in April. The writer heard about the online transcript because she requested to be put on the Archives' e-mail list, which informs people about new collections, additions to our Webiste and events at the Archives.

The Archives now sends out e-mail notices when it adds new documents to the Web site, opens new or updates old collections, or has an exhibit or other event likely to be of interest to the public. If you would like to be added to the Archives E-Mail List, please click here or send an e-mail request to: bgcarc@wheaton.edu

The Archives Web site remains a primary outreach tool to share our resources with a wider audience. The site contains thousands of collection guides, documents, images, exhibits, reports and other materials. People browsing the Internet discover these and then ask the archivists for more information, or for a copy of a letter or photograph. Because of the Web, hundreds of people at a distance have very specific needs met from our collections, while people who would otherwise not have known about the Archives find its resources. Many others certainly use the site's documents, exhibits, and information without ever getting in touch with the staff. While the Manuscript Reading Room is open 41.5 hours each week, the online resources at the Archives are available 24/7. Altogether, 488,288 unique visitors made 1,106,049 visits, resulting in 5,596,803 hits on our various pages.

One way of measuring the use of a Website is to the number of other sites that link to it. Click here to go to a sample of some of the sites that linked to the homepage or some other part of the BGC Archives Website:
