Historical Background

Non-profit organization; formed in 1949 at the request of the Laymen's Evangelistic Club to plan and oversee the organizaton of Billy Graham's crusade in Columbia; dissolved following the completion of the crusade, mid-1950.

Scope and Content

Minute book from Billy Graham's 1950 crusade in Columbia, South Carolina. Topics recorded include finances, building a tabernacle, and publicity. Also contains lists of committee members and some of the participating pastors.

Provenance

Material in this collection was created by the Crusade Executive Committee, which gave it to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which deposited it in the Billy Graham Center Archives in February 1987.
