Inspector, Secretary and Chief special agent for The New York Society for the Suppression of Vice; born, March 7, 1844; served in the Union Army; married Margaret Hamilton, January 25, 1871, and had two children; died, 1915.

Scope and Content

Letter and biographical data sheet. Letter to Rev. H. C. Hovey, in which Constock states the burden and revival of ministry with The N.Y. Society for Suppression of Vice. Biographical notes are for The Cyclopedia of American Biography, completed by Comstock in 1915.


The materials for this collection were received by the Center in January 1981 from The Autograph Alcove.
