Biography
First American foreign missionary; born, 1788; served as a missionary for nearly forty years in Burma and India; suppported by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions and later by American Baptist Missionary Union; noted for founding Christianity in Burma, translating entire Bible into Burmese and establishing mission.

Letters from Edward Judson, theologian, pastor and son of Adoniram Judson, to G.W. Freeman about building a memorial in New York City to his father, the first American foreign missionary.
