Biography

Anglican missionary, bishop of Anglican Church in India, hymnwriter; born in England, 1783; ordained, 1807; appointed missionary Bishop of Calcutta, 1823; wrote fifty-seven hymns; died 1826.

Scope and Content

Manuscript of a sermon delivered by Heber of the Anglican Church to clergy in his diocese of Calcutta, India. Sermon reviews the missionary situation in India.
