Historical Background

Baptist mission organization; incorporated on December 15, 1943; emerged in reponse to perceived ecumenism and theological liberalism in the American Baptist Convention.

Scope and Content

Orientation handbook given to missionaries and candidates which described the Society's background, constitution, doctrinal statement, expectations of the missionary, and personnel policies.


The materials for this collection were received by the Center in March 1977 from Dr. John Gration.
