The material in this collection consists of edited videotaped programs produced by the staff of the Institute of Prison Ministries of the Billy Graham Center.

Scope and Content

The material in this collection consists of edited video programs produced by the staff of the Institute of Prison Ministries of the Billy Graham Center. Most of the programs are interviews by the director of IPM, Donald Smarto, with people involved in some way in the criminal justice system, such as prisoners, guards, judges, etc. Most of these programs were intended for broadcast as a series. Many of them were shown on television channel 38 in Chicago, Illinois, as well as at IPM conferences, such as the one held at the Billy Graham Center in June and July of 1986. Other tapes in the collection are programs done about Don Smarto and the Institute.

Provenance

The material in this collection was received from the Institute of Prison Ministries in January 1987.
