Historical Background

Since the early 1960s, most Billy Graham crusades had as one of their components a School of Evangelism. The school consisted of a series of seminars and lectures on various aspects of evangelism. The speakers were members of the BGEA or close associates. The audience was made up mostly of local clergy. During the 1968 Sydney Crusade the school was held at St. Andrews Cathedral Chapter House in Sydney, April 22 to 26. Dr. Leon Morris, principal of Ridley's Theological College in Melbourne, Australia, was the only non-BGEA speaker. Dr. Victor Nelson was dean of the school.

Scope and Content

The tapes in this collection were apparently made for distribution throughout Australia. The seven master tapes are on reels but cassette copies have been made for research use. The tapes contain only the talks given at the sessions.

Provenance

These tapes were received by the Graham Center from the BGEA Atlanta Team Office in April 1976.
