Marketing Communications
Marketing Specialist For HoneyRock
  This position directly reports to the Director of Marketing Communications, who oversees marketing and branding for the entire institution. While a fully-integrated member of the College marketing team, it is essential that this individual also have a very close working relationship with HoneyRock. The primary responsibilities are to provide overall leadership, coordination and implementation of a comprehensive and strategic marketing plan for all programs and constituencies of HoneyRock. This is a full-time position located on-campus, but requires travel to the HoneyRock approximately six times per year, in addition to a minimum of 2 weeks during the summer.
  1.  Manage, strengthen, and protect the HoneyRock brand, while always reinforcing the Wheaton College brand.
  2.  Create, drive and measure the effectiveness of the marketing and communication strategies for all constituent groups and programs including: undergraduate, graduate, camper, retreat, and donor programs.
  3.  Conduct focus groups and other necessary research prior to execution to test the strategies.
  4.  Conduct market research as necessary to identify opportunities to gain maximum exposure on and off campus.
  5.  Interact with constituents on a regular basis to identify potential stories.
  6.  Develop content for the HoneyRock web pages. This includes regularly updating photography, video, text, and forms.
  7.  Design and execute online advertising and pay-per-click programs.
  8.  Oversee the HoneyRock blog, e-newsletter, Twitter, Youtube and Facebook accounts, regularly updating them to increase traffic on HoneyRock web pages.
  9.  Write copy, coordinate design and production of all print collateral.
  10.  Supervise student photographer and/or videographer to create necessary media
  11.  Manage marketing and communication budget.
  12.  Regularly attend marketing’s “Story Hour” to share story ideas and collaborate with fellow marketing team members.
  13.  Regularly attend marketing’s “Social Media” meeting to share story ideas and collaborate with fellow marketing team members.
  14.  Participate in HoneyRock strategic planning, staff retreats, ministry assessment, and task forces as requested.
  1.  Three-five years leading measurably successful marketing initiatives
  2.  BA required
  3.  Experience in higher education preferred
  4.  Strategic and creative thinker
  5.  Exceptional writing and proofreading skills
  6.  Strong problem solving ability
  7.  Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
  8.  Organized and detail-oriented
