Life Insurance

Basic coverage of 1.5 times employee's annual salary at no cost to the employee. Automatic enrollment for eligible employees.

Additional coverage of 1-5 times employee's annual salary available at low premium rates.  Dependent coverage is also available in two levels.  Enrollment forms required.  See highlight sheet for details.

Retirement Plan

All employees (with the exception of Wheaton College Student Employees) can participate immediately on date of hire with pre-tax or Roth contributions to the plan record kept by TIAA-CREF.

After one year of employment, and minimum age 21, eligible employees with work schedules of 1000 hours per year or greater qualify to receive the College's match of the employee's contribution 2-for-1, up to the first 4% of employee contribution. 

(One year of previous, full-time experience with an academic institution or non-profit organization will be considered for employer-matching eligibility.)

Educational Benefit Employee and spouse can take one course per semester (eligible on date of hire).
Tuition for employee children attending Council for Christian Colleges & Universities available on prorated basis after four years of employment.

(Previous full-time experience with another college or university will be considered.)

2013 flexible spending dollars must be used by March 15, 2014.  You have until May 31, 2014 to submit claims for 2013.  

Disability Insurance Short-term and long-term insurance is available to employees after one year of employment at no cost to the employee.
Workers' Compensation Insurance

Workers’ Compensation is an insurance program provided by each state, paid for by the employer, and designed to protect workers in case of a work-related injury or disease.

Metra Transit Plan Purchase Metra train vouchers (to be used for commuting to work) on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions.
